Life is good.

I've been working, going to school, and spending a lot of time with my friends this summer. I just went to chicago with Aly and Lauren and we won $25 tickets in the second row for Spelling Bee. It was adorable!

I'm looking forward to going back to Minnesota. I have a beautiful apartment to move into and a job to die for. I'm teaching Hebrew and theatre at a temple in Minneapolis and the pay is AMAZING. I can't wait to work with the kids.

I'm not positive I want to become a teacher so I'm looking into other options. As of now I'm really interested in interior design. I'm going to shadow an interior designer for a day and maybe switch my schedule next semester to get a little taste of what it's about.

To make a mountain of your life
Is just a choice
But I never learned enough
To listen to the voice that told me
Always love
hate will get you every time
Always love
hate will get you

deep breathing, forgiving, and good friends are the keys to moving on.

The Harvest Me

Under the gypsy moon
I part mercury waves.
Ignoring the bashful
giggles of the stars
I float on my back
revealing the curves and
dips of my body
causing the moon to blush
an even deeper orange.
The beige of me
suspended
on the ebony mattress below.
I have never felt
more satiated
than when I finally
allowed myself
To be illuminated
by natural light.

Tue, Feb. 7th, 2006, 12:09 am

I adhere to your body,
sanctuary to all of the
sly and impish creatures that
clamor among your bones,
feast upon your heart,
and control your limbs
with the grace of an
epileptic dancer.

You eagerly watch me
crumble as I fervently
smooth your hair
in hopes that my love
will pour from my
fingertips and seep into
the roots of your mind.
And when I am just
pieces at your
twitching toes you
patch me back together
with scotch tape
so that you can still

watch me bleed.

so excited to come home this weekend!

road trip with igor.
sarcasm anyone?

Thu, Jan. 26th, 2006, 12:48 am

I was slick with
summer sweat,
your car was slick with
summer rain,
and you were sick with
summer thoughts.
My pleas and cries
followed the curve
of your back,
hovered in the slight
dip of your kneecap,
and hid behind
your toes.
You made my
favorite pair of pants
a sturdy, denim reminder
of you.
Now, each time I
put them on I
gasp
for breath
as if your hands
were still
creeping
for the button.
But I am not
a sad little girl,
just a lively
young woman with
one less pair
of jeans.

Thank you Intro to Poetry for making me pick up a pen once more.

Well I'm back at school and classes start tomorrow. I'm anxious to get back into a routine. Things are just weird right now and I need to stay distracted with classes, homework, hillel social chair, friends, working out, etc.

Winter break was good. Israel was fabulous. I have pictures that I might post eventually. I'm considering studying in Jerusalem for a semester . . . or maybe London. We'll see.

Goals for this semester:
1. keep up my gpa
2. work with lauren to make social chair fun and successful!
3. workout/lose weight
4. audition for at least one more show

leave me some love and you shall be my lover.

So I just talked to my dear friend Gillian last night. I'm so SUPER excited for her and marlee to come and visit in the end of October! We'll have so much fun with non-drinking (aka: watching movies, bowling, shopping, perhaps an art project or two etc.) I also recieved wonderful news . . . GILLIAN REALLY DOES WANT TO GO HERE! Um . . . potential roommate? Anyways, school is going fairly well. I really like Minneapolis. And I also like it when people leave comments.

all things fuzzy

Life has been good but fairly uneventful. I've been hanging out with john and andrew a lot. Today we watched The Wizard of Oz with Dark Side of the Moon playing in the background.

Tonight Aly and I are getting together to plan our trip to NYC. I'm so excited!

Andrew took me out to make up for missing prom. We had a really fun day. First we went to Jimmy John's for lunch. Then we went to Build-a-Bear and I built the most adorable bunny! After that we saw March of the Penguins. It was interesting but made me feel a little like I was in school. Then we went to dinner at Mimma's. I'd say prom was successfully made up for.
